Internal Processes
BFA’s quality management systems are driven by ISO9001, ensuring clear information flows between all BFA divisions which enhances quality assurance in all engineering projects, and provides clients with full transparency on engineering processes, timelines, costs and completion dates.
As a specialist maintenance engineering company BFA has integrated quality management systems such as ISO9001 combined with an approach to developing engineering solutions to create a series of processes and procedures that ensures quality control. These processes are communicated to clients through detailed documentation updated at critical points throughout a project.
Documentation a client has available to them include:
- Initial assessment reports
- List of repair or replacement options
- Costs and time line
- Technical drawings
- History of previous maintenance on equipment
- Recommendation on changes in processes, materials or systems (where relevant)
BFA maintain an extensive database of all projects. Should a piece of equipment require repair or refurbishment in the future, we are able to assess the job in light of past issues.
Quality Standards
In 1998 BFA completed the rigorous task of becoming certified to ISO9001, and since that time have rigidly adhered to system of structured continuous improvement.
Continuous improvement forms part of the KPI’s of the BFA team and has resulted in a strong culture of enhancing processes in quality control in project work. This has resulted in providing greater transparency to our clients enabling BFA to demonstrate the cost/benefit advantages of in our engineering solutions.
ISO9001 gives BFA and its clients the peace of mind that all the right boxes are being ticked.
Audit
To ensure quality standards are maintained, BFA engages independent process auditors twice yearly. This creates a holistic process assessment and drives continuous improvement and delivers a quality assurance to our clients through a robust quality management system.
The quality of BFA’s engineering service is assured through its ISO audits, conducted progressively throughout the year, combined with external audits of our overall process twice per year. This attention to quality and procedures ensures that clients can be confident in BFA’s project management, workmanship, environmental and safety focus.
