Policies

The safety and health of our staff are of critical importance to us. With BFA staff providing engineering services to clients on and off shore it is imperative that there is a detailed training process are in place to ensure a continual upgrading of skills and awareness. BFA regularly assesses its staff competencies, OHS standards and ensure policies are continuously upgraded to meet the changing operating environment.

The focus or BFA’s OHS policy is:

  • Compliance with the requirements of relevant legislation, codes of practice and allowing adequate financial provisions to meet such requirements.
  • Provision of and maintenance of plant and systems of work that are safe and without risk and make arrangements for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of plant products and substances.
  • Provision of the necessary information, instruction, drawing and appropriate supervision to ensure health and safety of employees at work.
  • Provision of personal protection and safety equipment and where appropriate, industry training and adequate first aid facilities.
  • Encourage joint consultation and participation between management and employees for promotion, maintenance of safety and occupational health. It is integral to this policy that all employees are actively involved in the implementation and effectiveness in by actively following company policy, procedures and programs to promote a safe and healthy environment.
